TUTTLE ATHLETICS SUMMER 2020 INFORMATION

In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19 the Tuttle Schools Administrative team has released the following guidelines for the summer of 2020. Questions on the policy can be directed to the head coach of your sport or to the Athletic Director, Scott Moore. The OSSAA board voted to reject a proposal to give every school a uniform set of policies, so this policy has been made by TPS for the health and safety of all people involved.

 

*Physicals from the current school year are good through July 15^th. Ortho Central will be offering physicals for all Tuttle athletes at their location in Norman for $20.00. As soon as a date has been set, we will get that information out to you.

 

June 1-7

• HS & MS athletes are able to participate in “small group” type settings for sports in our school facilities with coaches present.
• No more than 15 athletes together at any time and social distancing measures must be in place (six feet apart, hand washing, etc.)
• A majority of work should be done outside if at all possible. No scrimmaging, camps, leagues or pick-up games will be allowed during this time period.
• Parents are encouraged to monitor the temperature of each athlete at home and if it is 100.4 or higher they are encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines and keep them at home.
• Athletes will need to bring their own water bottle and are asked to not share with anyone under any circumstance.
• Coaches are being instructed that athletes who do not attend because they or their parents are not comfortable with the health risks will not receive any consequences or be held responsible in the future for non- participation.
• The use of locker rooms will not be allowed during this time. All facilities in use will be sanitized on a daily basis.
• Proper CDC guidelines must be followed when using a Tuttle Public School facility.

 

June 8-14

Students must have a physical on file starting JULY 15^th & all Rankone online forms must filled out before they will be allowed to participate in athletics for the 2020/2021 school year.
